Garden design has evolved with technology allowing us to better envisage our new garden. When I first began designing gardens everything was on paper and in 2D. Although a ‘3D’ isometric view would give more insight and depth, it still wouldn’t really allow one to understand and experience the proposed garden. Virtually all of I my garden designs are now in 3D design software – the difference to the client is massive. It is so much easier to really understand and foresee how the garden with look and feel.
View your garden from inside your home
The software allows you to immerse yourself in the design – viewing it from any angle and walking around every corner. An accurate survey of the garden and the rear of the house even allows you to view your new garden from inside your house. I accurately survey all door and window positions and these are included in the 3D model. I use these viewpoints to ensure the garden looks good from inside the home, which is where we often view our garden in the UK! The views from inside out allow me to carefully consider the focal points and views of the garden.
